Al Khiran Bay, located about 30km south of Muscat, is a reserve and a beautiful natural site with ochre coloured islets contrasting with the intense blue sea and coves, most of which are only accessible by boat. The place is known for diving and snorkelling. Picnic on the beach and grilled fish lunch.
Hiking on the ledge : From Ryam Park to Muttrah
Muttrah Souk : Located on the seafront, the picturesque Muttrah Souk unfolds its labyrinth of narrow alleys in the heart of the old city and has been the daily life of the Omani people for over two centuries. The multicoloured stalls are full of handicrafts, spices and incense... not forgetting the halwa, a delicious local sweet that the Omanis love.
